Every Celtics Home Game, Scored by Desire to Attend
So the other day our sponsor Nick Piraino Real Estate asked Chuddy and myself to rank the Celtics home schedule based on how fun the games would be to attend. I'm assuming this is because he wants to make sure he gets Chuddy and I tickets (or press passes?) for all of this season's marquee matchups.
So without any further ado.. here is the Celtics entire home schedule, scored from 1 to 10, by Chuddy and myself based on how desirable the game is to attend. Obviously any Celtics home game is an experience, but if you're trying to pick the best ones to go to this guide will help you out:
Home Game 1: 10/22/24 - Knicks @ Celtics

Home Game 2: 10/28/24 - Bucks @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 9/10 | Sick matchup vs a rival/contender |
| Dugouts | 8/10 | Obvi Giannis is a good draw. Game will probably feel hyped at time but sadly will be forgotten by January. |
Home Game 3: 11/6/24 - Warriors @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 10/10 | Fuckface Kerr + seeing Curry |
| Dugouts | 9.5/10 | If not for Kerr being a massive dick over the summer then this would be a soft 8, possible 7.5. Warriors aren't getting my piss hot now that we've won the Larry and they're basically washed. Steph is a draw if you've never seen him though. Plus the matchup gets a bump from the potential of seeing Draymond do something crazy. (Is this the year he goes after a fan? Could you be that fan??) |
Home Game 4: 11/8/24 - Nets @ Celtics

| Dugouts | 3/10 | Friday night game against a poor opponent. If you like to drink this could creep up to a 4 based on those factors. |
Home Game 5: 11/12/24 - Hawks @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 5/10 | Trae + Risacher + leftover beef from them sweeping that reg season mini series and making a movie about it |
| Dugouts | 6/10 | Trae is fun to see, will get the crowd into it. NBA Cup game so it could be "Playoff Trae" Plus the court will look cool. Subtract 3 points if it turns out we are wearing those shitty city editions that leaked. |
Home Game 6: 11/16/24 - Raptors @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 3/10 | Scottie...? Tough fall Saturday.. |
| Dugouts | 2/10 | Potential for a fun Derrick White game if he still feels snubbed from the ASG selection. Just a rough game othewise. Saturday night obvi adds some appeal for those who partake in spirits. |
Home Game 7: 11/19/24 - Cavaliers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 7/10 | Playoff rematch, Mobley leap? Donovan, Garland, Allen... should be fun game |
| Dugouts | 7.5/10 | NBA Cup game against a team we manhandled in the playoffs. They could make it fun. Some exciting players to watch as well. Did I mention the court will look cool? |
Home Game 8: 11/24/24 - Timberwolves @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 9/10 | Only trip to Boston. Both games last year were epic. Legit contenders... but it IS an NFL Sunday |
| Dugouts | 9/10 | Sunday at 3:30 during football season is usually a big knock, but I looked ahead and the slate isn't looking stacked. Go see Anthony Edwards and Jaylen battle it out again. Good theater. |
Home Game 9: 11/25/24 - Clippers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 5/10 | Kawhi + Harden (MAYBE). Only trip to town but second night of b2b for us so maybe guys resting. |
| Dugouts | 6/10 | Second game of a back to back. Likely means no Horford at least. Clippers have star power though, should be a fun game to be at. |
Home Game 10: 12/2/24 - Heat @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 6/10 | Meh game but it's fun to beat these fuckers |
| Dugouts | 6/10 | Second game of a back to back again. This time with travel. It's always fun to root against the Heat but it could be a limited squad for us. |
Home Game 11: 12/4/24 - Pistons @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 2/10 | Tough sell |
| Dugouts | 2/10 | Good game to bring the kids, you should be good to bounce by mid third quarter. Getting on the sauce could escalate quickly due to likely blowout, impacting the following morning. Do not attend if you're short on personal days. |
Home Game 12: 12/6/24 - Bucks @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 8/10 | Nice little Friday night measuring stick... be wary of first night of b2b |
| Dugouts | 9/10 | Friday night game, later in the season. That's the good stuff. This should be the Bucks game you pick if you want to see them. |
Home Game 13: 12/7/24 - Grizzlies @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 9/10 | Marcus' first game back + only trip for fun Grizz team.... but b2b on a saturday night |
| Dugouts | 9/10 | Marcus potentially back playing. Second night of a back to back though. If Marcus isn't playing this game becomes a 7.5 with Ja. |
Home Game 14: 12/19/24 - Bulls @ Celtics

| Dugouts | 2/10 | Could become a 3 if you take Friday off and make this the start of your Christmas break from work. |
Home Game 15: 12/25/24 - 76ers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 9/10 | Basically sick it's just on Xmas |
| Dugouts | 10/10 | Best way to spend Christmas would be seeing the Celtics crush the Sixers on national television while skirting your family holiday responsibilities. |
Home Game 16: 12/27/24 - Pacers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 8/10 | ECF rematch, first time in Boston on the season. |
| Dugouts | 8.5/10 | ECF revenge spot for the Pacers. Game 1 of a cute little mini series. Friday night. Lot of potential here. |
Home Game 17: 12/29/24 - Pacers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 8.5/10 | ECF rematch and 2nd game of mini baseball series |
| Dugouts | 7.5/10 | There is some potential for some scrappiness being game 2 of the mini series, but Sunday night can be a tough sell. Also fantasy football championship weekend. |
Home Game 18: 12/31/24 - Raptors @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 2/10 | NYE... feel like we give our guys the night off |
| Dugouts | 2/10 | 3 pm Tuesday NYE game may be the most diabolical move by any schedule maker. Maybe a good bring the kids game? Might backfire though if the game is as ugly as I think, and they may hate you for it forever. Your call. |
Home Game 19: 1/10/25 - Kings @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 8/10 | Fun Friday... feels like our games with them are always fun and we score a zillion points... also might get to see our old friend Drapes |
| Dugouts | 8.5/10 | Friday night against an exciting Kings team that hopefully learned some things from their step back last year. Bonus .5 points because this could wind up being the game KP comes back 👀 |
Home Game 20: 1/12/25 - Pelicans @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 8/10 | Only trip to Boston for fun team that could be contender and cool to see Zion in person I suppose... it's a Sunday though |
| Dugouts | 7/10 | Zion is a draw to see, but hard to be sure he will still be healthy by now. Still a fun team to see play overall. Sunday night games are Sunday Scaries City too. It's also Wildcard Weekend.. Stay at home at fire up some screens. |
Home Game 21: 1/17/25 - Magic @ Celtics

| Dugouts | 8/10 | Magic are going to be a good team this year. They play us tough too and will be motivated. Add in a little Friday night in the city vibes to it and you've got a great matchup to see live. (Add .5 to this if Eddie House chirps them again) |
Home Game 22: 1/18/25 - Hawks @ Celtics

| Dugouts | 3/10 | Second night of a back to back. But it is a Saturday night in the city. Trae Young talking shit in your general direction after you've had a few pops and this could become a fun one. (Drink responsibly) |
Home Game 23: 1/27/25 - Rockets @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 7/10 | Sneaky fun team especially for the nerds, they should be decent. Plus Ime's only trip to Boston |
| Dugouts | 6/10 | Rockets are a young and fun team. Do not bring your wife/girlfriend. (Add .5 to score if you dislike your wife/girlfriend). Monday night is tough though. |
Home Game 24: 1/29/25 - Bulls @ Celtics

| Dugouts | 2.5/10 | This probably won't be very fun to attend. Spinzone: You may be able to sneak a few rows closer. There has to be some value in that! |
Home Game 25: 2/6/25 - Mavericks @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 10/10 | Finals Rematch and Luka/Kyrie's only trip back to Boston |
| Dugouts | 10/10 | Finals rematch. Luka and Kyrie back in Boston. Thursday night, take Friday off, make this the perfect start to a memorable weekend. Would be a great game to bring podcast hosts too. |
Home Game 26: 2/12/25 - Spurs @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 10/10 | Wemby's only trip to Boston...seems like something you just gotta see |
| Dugouts | 9/10 | If Wemby is healthy at this point increase the rating by 1 point. Got to see that beautiful alien at least once. |
Home Game 27: 2/23/25 - Knicks @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 9/10 | I hate the Sunday 1 o'clock start, but otherwise this is obv a home run. |
| Dugouts | 9/10 | Sunday matinee. Some hate it, some love it. I think in this instance it's solid. Could be a very fun Sunday. |
Home Game 28: 2/28/25 - Cavaliers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 8/10 | Friday night vs good team and shit |
| Dugouts | 7/10 | Cavs a fun team as stated earlier. Not an NBA Cup game but being on a Friday helps make up for that. Could be a solid "I want to see a decent team but want a reasonable price on tickets" game. |
Home Game 29: 3/2/25 - Nuggets @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 10/10 | Game of the year potential and possible finals preview. |
| Dugouts | 10/10 | This is an example of the Sunday matinee not being the right call. But this is a game you want to be at no matter the day or time. |
Home Game 30: 3/5/25 - Blazers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 4/10 | Opposite of the game above. Plus, front end of b2b... maybe see Rob Will and Dalano though |
| Dugouts | 2/10 | Becomes a 5 if Timelord is playing. But we may be resting guys for Sixers the next day. |
Home Game 31: 3/6/25 - 76ers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 9/10 | Just hope we don't rest for second night of b2b |
| Dugouts | 8/10 | Obvi you run the risk that we rest guys tonight and not for the Blazers the day before. But would actually be more funny if you see us beat them shorthanded. Win/win imo. |
Home Game 32: 3/8/25 - Lakers @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 10/10 | Sick late night Sat night game vs Lakers. Bron/Ad only time in Boston |
| Dugouts | 9/10 | Late Saturday night tip off. Garden is going to be electric. Lakers/Celtics rivalry. First chance for Celtics fans to boo LeBron and his son together. But also they stink. I bet we crush them. Could also see LeBron ducking the fuck out of this game so be wary. |
Home Game 33: 3/10/25 - Jazz @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 3/10 | Fun nerd game and Will Hardy in Boston but they could be tanking HEAVY at this point |
| Dugouts | 2/10 | Monday feels like the perfect day of the week for the Jazz only visit to Boston. |
Home Game 34: 3/12/25 - Thunder @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 10/10 | The two favorites. Only meeting in Boston. Maybe the last big measuring stick game before the yoffs. |
| Dugouts | 9/10 | Fun young team that will likely still be jockying for a top spot in the loaded West. Big chance to prove they aren't pretenders. Potential Finals preview for years to come. |
Home Game 35: 3/18/25 - Nets @ Celtics

| Dugouts | 4/10 | I haven't ranked any game as a 4 yet. But I'll back up the 4 by saying this is game 2 of a home/away series with the Nets. Could be some chippiness! But probably really a 2. |
Home Game 36: 4/2/25 - Heat @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 6/10 | Fuck em. |
| Dugouts | 7.5/10 | This will have a little more buzz to it. Closing in on playoffs. Heat play the Wizards the Monday before so they're probably going to blow them out and roll in here riding a "playoff Jimmy" hype train. Will be fun to see it get derailed live in person. |
Home Game 37: 4/4/25 - Suns @ Celtics
| Chuddy | 8/10 | KD + Booker only trip to town, always fun vs KD...maybe good? |
| Dugouts | 8.5/10 | Could be one of the last games KD plays in Boston. Plus trying to make Booker cry is always entertaining. Friday night as well. This could be fun. |
